Ordered take out from Tiny's Coffee bar. I ordered vegan chicken sandwich with fries. Along with crispy Brussels sprouts. Can't wait to return and have some drinks at the bar !
We visited Tiny’s today and really loved our brunch. I had the Shrimp and Grits with bacon and it was very good. My squad had the Biscuits and Gravy and Cheesy Egg Biscuit. The biscuit was flaky and crisp and the gravy was loaded with flavor. The smoked, candied bacon was out of this world. The owner has an extensive background in upscale food establishments from his time spent in Chicago. The bar itself was constructed out of a recycled bowling alley floor from Crown Point. The owner shared a story of his grandfather ‘Tiny’ an old school bootlegger from Tennessee who settled in LaGrange, Illinois and was afforded special privileges by the town due to his reputation for his high quality ‘Hooch’. I highly recommend a trip to Gary, Indiana’s Miller Beach and patronize this local, small business with a big heart and outstanding menu.
We really enjoyed ourselves here. Stopped in after a hike in the dunes. We sat at the bar and the bartender Jade was awesome. We had some amazing espresso martinis, a couple of beers, and wine. The soup of the day and the house salad were fantastic. The place is really nice inside and it looked great with the sun setting through the front windows. They had March madness on and we would’ve stayed longer and eaten more if we had the time. Looking forward to going back!

Tiny’s coffee bar is so much MORE than that! The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting with multiple seating areas including sofas by the fireplace and an outdoor patio. After our hike on the Miller Woods trail at Indiana Dunes N.P. We stopped in for a snack. Peppermint Mocha iced lattes! What a treat. We also enjoyed the bourbon cinnamon roll and apple danish. The staff were so friendly. Matt told us about the menu and upcoming events. We wished that we had time to stay and have dinner and drinks because the menu sounds amazing. And yes there’s full service liquor bar. If you’re visiting Gary, IN make a stop at Tiny’s. I know that we will be back.
Wow. So happy to have Tiny’s Coffee Bar in Gary! The Pot k Belly Ramen and Roasted Quarter Chicken were so delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing, cool and cozy. ADDED REVIEW We just ordered from the new BRUNCH menu and each of the dishes were SO DELICIOUS we agreed we could have been dining in a five star restaurant. The flavors were unique and extraordinary. I ordered the steak and scrambled eggs with potatoes and biscuits which were done to tender perfection. Our daughter ordered SHRIMP and GRITS. The best! My husband loved his scrambled eggs and bacon basic breakfast. We shared a lettuce salad that had raspberries, peaches, walnuts and some kind of cheese. So refreshing. The place was packed so we ordered at the counter and sat at the bar. Really great place with a calm but fun ambiance.
OMGOSH! Tiny’s is the best most delicious coffee bar I’ve ever been to! The owner Rex, his son Matt and the bar dude Shane are so friendly and made our visit so delightful. My girlfriend and I went to Miller Beach for a walk. It was a sunny day and worth the brisk walk (really brisk. It was January 16)! The HUGE BONUS was going to Tiny’s . Tiny’s has the most chill, welcoming vibe. I seriously could come here every day but I live 200 miles away. Trust me. I’ll tell everyone how exceptional Tiny’s is! BTW do yourself a huge solid. Order the Mexican hot chocolate! You’ll be ruined for life. they were smoking brisket. If we didn’t have dinner plans I would have stayed there all night!
